TURNAROUND TIME FOR LONGARM QUILTING AND SEWING MACHINES IS 2-3 WEEKS

Investment

I recognize that using a longarm quilter is an investment and I want to treat it as such. I have done my best to be transparent with any possible charges that may come up.

Price per Square Inch

Edge-to-edge quilting is $0.025 cents per square inch for all designs.

Example: A quilt top is 60 in x 80 in. 60 x 80 = 4800sq in x .025 = $120.00.

My minimum quilting charge is $50. This means that a small quilt or table runner's square inch price will be rounded up to the $50 minimum because even though it is smaller, it still takes the same amount of time to load and set up on the machine.

Batting

Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price. You may provide your own high-quality batting, or have it shipped to me.

I use and stock my favorite Quilters Dream batting in 93 in rolls. I carry the 80/20 cotton/poly blend (natural), 100% cotton select loft (natural), and bamboo (so luxurious!). I have limited quantities of wool and Dream Puff batting in stock, please ask for availability.  I have a wholesale account with Quilters Dream. Please check out the Quilters Dream Batting website to see what they have to offer.

Batting is charged by the linear inch, see prices below, except in the case of special orders. I will use only what is needed for your quilt and charge per linear inch.

For example, if you have a 60" x 80" quilt, I would cut 65" of the batting of your choice.

65" of 100% cotton select loft @ $0.39/in = $25.35
65" of 80/20 cotton/poly blend @ $0.38/in = $24.70
65" of Bamboo @ $0.47/in = $30.55

If you have any questions regarding batting, I'd love to help!

Thread and Needle

I stock Glide thread (#40 and #50 weight) in multiple color options. My personal style attempts to match or blend thread color with the lighter areas of your quilt. But this is YOUR quilt! Let me know if you have a preference for thread color. Thread and needle are included in the price per square inch.

Trim

I can give your quilt a trim so it is ready to bind when you get it back. I charge $10 for trimming.

Photography

I'm not a professional photographer but I do my best to take "nice" photos! :) Weather permitting I like to photograph quilts outside and post to social media with your permission. I send you pictures if I'm able to take them. I'd just ask that you credit me for the photo and/or quilting if posting publicly. Due to time constraints I cannot photograph every quilt, but if you really want pictures, please let me know. This is included in your square inch price.

Shipping

Shipping your top and backing to me: I live in Kansas, USA, and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. I will provide my address when we agree to work together. I'd recommend sending your materials enclosed in some kind of sack or bag to protect against possible moisture in transit and then placed in a hard-sided cardboard box. Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly.

Return shipping: I will send your quilt back to you in the manner described above via USPS Priority Mail or UPS whichever is more economical. Please indicate on your intake form if you would like me to buy any additional insurance on your behalf. You will receive a tracking number when it ships.

Other Costs

I'm required by the State of Kansas to collect a 9.0% sales tax on the batting used and quilting service portion of an invoice. Shipping, and any design/pantograph fees are not subject to sales tax.

Payment

After the work is complete, I will invoice you via LikeSew. I really do appreciate timely payments as that enables me to get your project(s) back to you right away. I accept PayPal, Venmo, Cash, Check, and all major credit cards.
