TURNAROUND TIME FOR LONGARM QUILTING AND SEWING MACHINES IS 2-3 WEEKS

Let's Work Together!

Here are a few things to keep in mind when having your quilt top longarm quilted to ensure the best possible results! I'm passionate about being able to give you results you will love. Teamwork!

Step 1: Well-Behaved Backing

I require the backing to be 4 inches longer ON ALL SIDES. For example, if you have a quilt top that is 60" x 80", your backing should measure at least 68" x 88". It can be bigger, not smaller.  I can seam your backing for you if you want, for an additional cost of $15 per seam. I also carry a variety of wide-back fabrics in the shop, so check those out as well. Please press the seams open to reduce bulk. If there is a top to your backing, please clearly mark it. If you have any questions about your backing, please reach out.

Step 2: Tidy Up The Top!

Please press your top and backing. Mark the top of your quilt, if it is directional. Clip stray threads or raveling fabrics as best as you can. You might not be able to get them all, but to prevent dark threads from shadowing through your quilt top. If you have seams coming apart around the edges, give it a quick victory lap, or top stitch all the way around to hold those outer seams together.

Step 3: Quilty Designs

I want this to be fun for you and not overwhelming! You have the option of having me make the quilting decisions for you or narrowing it down to a few that would look great.  Check out my available pantographs, but if you find the perfect one that I do not yet own, we can split the cost 50/50 for your project. Also, check out my gallery, and other quilting you love online or on social media, and send me ideas.

Step 6: D (delivery)- Day!

If local, we will set up a date and time to deliver your quilt. If you are a mail-in client, I will get your quilt in the mail after payment has been received.
